The story of Exterio Rattan began not in an impersonal corporate boardroom, but out of a shared passion for sustainable craft, natural materials, and resilience.
During the global disruptions of COVID-19, Yaasir Hanif, founder of the international outdoor living brand Exterio, recognized an urgent need to evolve. Committed to exploring sustainable, renewable natural materials that could stand the test of time, Yaasir immersed himself in Indonesia’s artisanal heartland: Cirebon, West Java.
It was there that he met Mr. Andy—a respected local production specialist with deep roots in Cirebon’s natural fiber and timber traditions. What started as technical discussions between two dedicated furniture professionals quickly blossomed into a genuine friendship and hands-on collaboration across multiple international projects.
Realizing how seamlessly their strengths complemented each other, they joined forces to build PT Exterio Indonesia. Today, we are not simply an export facility—we are your dedicated manufacturing partner on the ground in Indonesia.
